Girl Power! ..........

.............Have just spent a very entertaining 20 minutes watching 5 Blackbirds ( 4 male and 1 female) chasing each other round and round the shrubs and plants, trying to prevent each other eating the bits and bobs I had put out for their breakfast! It was quite comical - in the end, Mrs B. succeeded in chasing off all the males and here she is just checking that there isn't one of them hiding before she tucks in. The image is not brilliant -taken through a not very clean window (it's too darn cold to go out and clean it !!!!)

Although there hasn't been a hoar frost (which is so pretty) the temperature is below freezing and it isn't very bright. More snow is forecast for the South but whether it will make it's way up here, I don't know
