Wai-O-Tapu thermal area

I'm in Rotorua.
Sorted my bus times out, thanks to all the info left by the air bnb owner, and got a smart card to use. Next was a trip into town, and the tourist info centre.
Trip one: see above, plus the Lady Knox geyser (extra). I didn't know that, unlike others such as Old Faithful, and some I've seen in Iceland, this one is regular every day, because they set it off! True, it will go on it's own, but it varies between one and three days apart. They put surfactants in, which don't harm the environment, and that combines with the minerals to cause it to flare up.
