The Jura Mountains

The Alps lie to the south and east of Lake Geneva, the Jura mountains to our north and north west.
Lower and much less rugged than the Alps, they nonetheless offer more rolling beauty, with lakes and forests. They are attractive to skiers in the winter, being especially good for cross country skiing, and to hikers in the summer.
We like them a lot.
