Balsam Root at Nahahum Canyon

Friends from the "West Side" -- Seattle -- were here this weekend and we decided to take them on a Sunday afternoon drive to see the apple blossoms. We drove through the Cashmere valley and the apple blossoms were stunning. Then, I said to Dan, "Let's drive up Nahahum Canyon." We were rewarded by hillsides covered by balsam root.
