Made it!

My last day walking the Queen Charlotte Track. I had a boat to catch from Anakiwa at 4.30pm, which prompted me to get an early start as I had 20km to walk and blisters on my toes. I actually felt pretty good once I got going and even did a side trip up to a lookout. Just as I was leaving Davies Bay less than an hour from Anakiwa a freakish storm blew up - thunder, lightning and icy cold wind... then 10 minutes later back to warm sunshine. Apparently they had huge hailstones in Picton at around the same time. This is the view from Anakiwa while I was enjoying a cappuccino and waiting for my water taxi back to Picton. Looks like another storm is on the way...
