Painted landscape
Waves were forecast 7 - 10 feet on the east side. Had to go check 'em out. This one probably was on the upper side, no surfers included to give a real sense of scale, sorry, this was just too impressive by itself. Reminds me of a heavily-laid on oil painting.
Extras -
1. This gives you a sense of scale - on this particular wave
2. Like how he carved out space for himself in the wave - and his tattoos! He started out on his back close to the bottom of the wave, rolled to his right, turning over in a 360, but leaving room to maneuver, before the wave comes down to fence him in. His expressive right hand is the last thing you see before the wave curtain closes.
Forecast for tomorrow is a slight bump up to 8-12 feet. Exciting!
