Millennium bug

This is our Millennium bug.We brought one each for the boys in1999 when there was fear that a bug would hit all computer systems which would send the world into chaos at the start of the New Year/ Century/ Millennium. So we all woke up in 2000 to see if anything had stopped working, no iPads or Smart phones and wifi was just being introduced back then. Not sure we even had a laptop just a big computer with a noisy fan.Nothing much had been affected but they are saying that this year 2020 a few things did go wrong as a result from this bug.An interesting article here https://www.newscientist.com/article/2229238-a-lazy-fix-20-years-ago-means-the-y2k-bug-is-taking-down-computers-now/.
A breezy day with trampolines flying down roads in Inverness, if you have one please make sure it’s well secured ! A Sperm whale was sadly stranded the other side of the Firth , opposite us, and has died so a post mortem will be carried out tomorrow.
Richard came over for an hour or two in the morning. He’s going to Newcastle for a gig on Friday.
