Snow Way In

Another back dated blip upload, but only a few hours late! Had more energy this evening and with the snow starting to fall, decided to grab my camera, tripod, flash and provisions and walk into town. Was hoping to get some nice snowy night scenes, but the snow wasn't coming down thick enough and melted as soon as it hit the ground! So instead, I concentrated on Reading's architecture and played around with some more traffic light trails. Got a variety of pleasing photographs and for once was spoilt for choice on what to upload. So after playing around with some of them post-processing I settled on this one. This is the main entrance to Wesley Methodist Church on Watlington Street, Reading. I quite liked the casted shadows and the detail in the stone and wood highlighted by the nearby street lights. This seems to be emphasised in B&W and a little fiddling with the contrast and levels gave me the final result.
