Playing hard to get

A tui visited today. As is their wont, it played hard to get, hopping around in the tree, in and amongst the branches, and in the worst of the light. Still, I'm very pleased with what I ended up getting. 8)

There was an also-ran. I borrowed my father's 55-300, hoping to get a closer shot of some greenfinches. They disappeared, but a sparrow came back:

It's a cleaner and more-detailed photo, but as much as I love sparrows, it is a lesser bird - and pose. ;)
