Not just for November
Walking down to the ferry in Dunoon late this afternoon I was struck by the decorative poppies and small crosses still up around the town’s war memorial which is exceptionally well kept and tended and which sits facing the sea with the castle as a backdrop.
In addition recent work on the Queen’s Hall has actually improved its setting , clearing a good and respectful space around it.
In this town, as in many towns and villages throughout Scotland, remembrance is not just for November.
