Orangutan Rescue

Well today was my first day in work after 6 weeks off recovering from my surgery.  I've still got quite a way to go in my recovery, but I can do most things and I'm certainly ok to be back at work.  Anyway, everything was fine and on a Monday I finish at 1pm so it was a nice gentle back to work.

On my way home I stopped off in town to go in search of this mural that I'd seen photos of on Instagram.  The artist is 27 year old Amy Kelly-Miller and she was contacted by International Animal Rescue who asked if she would paint an orangutan to raise awareness of the plight of this critically endangered species.  A local primary school allowed them to paint the mural on their walls and Caroline Lucas our Green MP cut the ribbon once it was completed.  It really is an amazing piece of work and I've added a few others pics to my extras if you're interested.

Now I’m back in work, I’ll apologise in advance as I’m likely to get behind on Blip again!
