Practice

I love these bits of practice by Mrs B. She is using a book to help her with mixing various shades and “wateryness” of watercolours. 

It is something of an emergency blip: I took my car to an independent garage to get the engine and gearbox oils changed, little realising that the latter unit would cost quite so much in parts (£354); the whole bill was quite a bit more . . . 

 So I was a bit shocked as I drove back and didn't feel like getting out of the car to find a suitable subject; and it was cold and windy and dingy.

I have many excuses but I sincerely like these swatches.
