Blue Jay at the Feeder

My husband likes to watch the birds in our yard, and he offers them good hospitality by providing fresh food and water every day. I was sitting on the front porch with the cat when there was noise at the feeder. I could hear the feeder rocking as a large bird landed. It was a blue jay.

I ran for my camera, but of course, the bird left, just to thwart me. So I waited until a later feeding, when I sat by the feeder right after it was stocked. Yes, the large blue bird once again appeared, and this time I got my photos!
