I volunteered as timekeeper at parkrun this week.  My first, non running role for quite some time as I want to 'collect' a virtual 'gold obsessive badge (50 runs in one calandar year) in 2019 so had run most weeks.

I love timekeeping so was pleased to do it again although the wind played havoc with my fingers and we had a record breaking attendance for me to 'click' in.  Followed up with some token sorting and result processing spectating although this was cut short as I had friends over for the afternoon and evening and had to dash off for their midday arrival.  I took a picture of the beer that they gifted me and am looking forward to trying the Christmas one (extras).  One of them has recently reduced the hours in the job they've had worked in for 30 ish years to work part time in the brewery.
