Ethereal river

So this morning I was feeling quite sorry for myself on the walk to work in the freezing cold as all the nice heated cars roared past. But then I saw this and it made me so glad that I walk, even in this weather. I've seen a little bit of vapour coming off the river before but this mist is beautiful and there was so much of it. I suppose the water is a bit warmer than the air and like a person breathing warm air into cold, the mist rises.

It is supposed to snow tomorrow. I hope it does so I can get some nice photos.
