Giggle Alley

A wonderful day spent in The Lakes. We had breakfast in a fantastic dog friendly hotel in Keswick and later covered lots of miles, taking in some spectacular scenery. Penrith was a bit of a disappointment but we probably didn't explore it enough. We were hungry and struggled to find somewhere that we could eat, that didn't have large TV's showing sports!  Dinner was reasonable but I was glad to get back to the hotel, so that we could relax and open the wine.

This robin was enjoying the seclusion of Giggle Alley, which was the name of a Japanese Garden that we discovered on our travels. There were little bridges and plenty of bamboo but not a great deal else to see because of the time of year.
