Coppice

There are quite a few trees like this in the woods. The main tree is tall & healthy, but has self coppiced with an impenetrable mass of small stems from the base. Never seen it elsewhere but the tree still seems ok.
Still having stomach cramps but the tree & decorations had to come down. The sweeping up throughout the house is the only time I have second thoughts about getting a real tree.
