Where heaven and earth meet ...

...and angels and saints visit this place often. It's the very small Werd Island  in the westernmost part of Lake Constance.

As today was a perfect day with blue sky, we made a long walk in our area and passed this special place (see extra). Still today there are a few Franciscans living in the house besides the chapel.

In the extra a picture of the labyrinth, a reproduction of the famous labyrinth in the gothic cathedral of Chartres. It consists of 12 circles (a reminder of the 12 months, 12 tribes of Israel, 12 signs of the zodiac, etc.). There are about 444 meters of path to the center and the cross sum of 444 is 12 again ...
