Cramond Island
Today was the perfect weather for a trip out to Cramond Island. We timed it perfectly by luck with the low tide for crossing. Along the way we watched crows pick up shells and drop them from a height to crack them open...again and again. Nature never ceases to amaze. After a lovely little picknick and observing the ocean through a monocular (we also saw islands with buildings shaped of battle ships used as decoys in the war. The effort! ) we headed back to mainland via the beach featured and had a coffee at a little cafe just upstream from the mouth of the River Almond.
After a successful jacket search we ended the day with fish ‘n chips take away from Newhaven harbour.
