Female Quail

I scatter seed late in the afternoon under the creosote bushes. The quail and dove have cover and they come from near and far for their evening meal. 

Getting a picture is a challenge with Bunker by my side and shooting through the fence. The females aren't as pretty as the males but this one is very well fed.

I am making progress on getting the Christmas decorations put away. I am grateful there isn't a time limit on how long they are up!
