Oh Sunny Day

Another lovely sunshiny day.  After a slightly lazy start Jamie and I headed for the old house where Jamie is keen to sort his roomful of stuff.  Some good work was done although we gave much of the afternoon over to visiting Una who was unsurprisingly pleased to see him.   We all had a piece of the Christmas Cake he had made for her using her old recipe, a cake which has already featured here if you look back far enough!

I snuck down the garden for a few minutes to inspect the frames and the damage the blackbirds are doing in my absence.  Colchicum munzurense, raised from seed obtained from Gothenburg Botanic Garden a few years back, was the star of the show.  In due course I hope to transfer the bulk of the bulb collection to Wales although some will have to take their chance planted out in the small garden I hope to have there.
