Slates

Having made a speedy recovery from whatever bug floored me this week, I spent the day in Tullibody at a  "stoners" convention, that is members of the facebook page @YesStones,  who get together periodically to share tips and techniques for painting stones, which are then hidden all over Scotland for people to chance upon.  This year, people have been branching out by painting old slates as well.  
This is one of my friend Lynne's creations, which I think is beautifully done, especially the little waves.  if you happen to have a pile of stones or old slates lying around the Yes Stones facebook page is well worth a look for some ideas inspiration. 
The extra isfrom another stoner, Senga, whose stag paintings will become lovely house numbers once they have had a coat of varnish.
