Glassy Sky

I was out and about early this morning as I had to get MrQ to the local hospital to see a consultant. Quite a bit of interest in the sky. Not much of a view, I climbed a step-ladder by my back door to get the shot.

I heard a little grebe calling from our neighbour's lake over the summer but haven't heard it recently. I was delighted when I spotted it today and got a shot, even though it wasn't very good. Maybe these shy dabchicks don't make their whinnying call at this time of year?
