Loch Leven and Bishops Hill from Kinross
New Year’s Walk, take two, a year later, mostly the same people we spent New Year’s Eve with and on the corresponding walk last year https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2527539070456824587
A much more interesting walk than last year’s surreal amble around an abandoned opencast coal mine that had not been fully restored as expected.
This was an out and back walk. Out to the RSPB Reserve at Vane Farm for lunch and other refreshments then back to Kinross only just before the rain.
Good views over the Loch towards Bishops Hill. This National Nature Reserve will repay a further visit to walk the whole circumference which is around 13 miles or to visit the Reserve properly or to walk up Bishops Hill from Scotlandwell.
As per last year we ended up at Dobbies in Dunfermline for further refreshments and to purchase gifts for tomorrow’s host and our neighbour who keeps an eye on our house while we’re away.
