Hoovering up the flies

Something (or some things) must have died in the church because every so often an infestation of large black flies appears.  When TheChimp and I went to help Mary clean the church about a hundred of these nasty flies seemed to have hatched and all of them had (helpfully) died on one of the window ledges so that thechimp could hoover them up all in a oner
