Rosedale take two

After a legwork session in the gym followed by Pilates it was time to enjoy the sunshine. I so enjoyed the walk yesterday we returned to the west side of Rosedale. We were interested to see what work had been done around the head of the valley. We were not disappointed....

The main is the remains of the water tower with Jet and his shadow posing against the terracotta background. The head of the valley has improved drainage to get rid of some very wet boggy sections. However the highlight was the reinstatement of a cutting which had been an impassable marsh. This had to be circumnavigated by climbing and then descending a rocky ridge. Cyclists usually dismounted. The extra shows the reinstated track. 

We then had a muddy and slippery descent and steep ascent of the valley to be greeted by the sunset. A grand walk.
