Up and out for a walk this morning. A lovely long walk in the freezing (-1) temperatures. It really gets you going and you don't stop too often to snap away. Much of the smaller resevoir was frozen but not this one.
My pal's dad used to work in the workroom under the reservoir. He would be checking the flow and watching for floods, re-directing water and the like. Can you imagine being in a space under a resevoir with no natural light, water all above you and a warren of tunnels. He used to take his boys up, in the days when it was ok to turn up to work with your sons. He would run away from them and let them get lost and then scrare the living daylights out of them. Can you imagine what would happen if you did that today? They would call the social on you for sure and you would be locked up for allowing your kids to have fun!
My boy and his school team are in the final 16 of the Scottish Schools Cup tomorrow. We are playing away in Falkirk - what's the chances do you reckon?
Stay warm and dry.
