Winter Morning first light .

This is the morning view over the field towards the wood as the light dawned. It turned out to be a very stormy wet day filled with a long list of domestic tasks which were not all completed. We made a gluten free celebration fruit cake - trying a new recipe as the Christmas cake was not very nice :)
It will be for the bird table - hopefully this one will be nicer !
We went for a walk through the wood to the shore about 3pm before it got dark and stopped to listen to the unusual sound of the tall trees creaking loudly - it was very windy. An extra from there as the light faded again.
