Hacklebarney State Park

Went down to Hackelbarney for the first time since hurricane Sandy came through. The park had been hammered. There were trees down everywhere. The rangers have so far managed to chop up the ones that were blocking most of the paths but these are still piled up at the sides of the trail everywhere.

The stream had many places with fallen trees completely across from one side to the other. A lot of the downed trees were torm completely up including the roots which are sticking up in air with the discs of dirt still attached. Generally a bit of a mess.

After following one of the rock trails down to the Black River I took some long exposures of the rocks in the water. This type of shot is one of those where I have the shot in my head that I really want but have not yet found a reality to put in front of the camera to get the shot. I like this shot but it isnt the one in my head... Guess I'll just have to keep looking for that one.
