The Hug

With apologies to Gustav Klimt. I trotted out this afternoon with the intention of photographing a concrete trough (I think blippers will understand that kind of intention) but when I got to the location a young couple were in a firm embrace just where I wanted to take my photo. Not wishing to unnerve them I strolled off in another direction pointing my lens at skies and birds and trees and things for half an hour. However when I returned the couple were in the same place, actually in the same position, as I had left them. So I gave up my ambitions on the concrete trough and headed home. I did take a couple of snatched shots as I left and on retrospect I rather like the way they were clinging on resolutely oblivious to nature and industry growing around them.
