GET OFF YOUR HORSE AND DRINK YOUR MILK
This is meant to be the most famous phrase allegedly said by "The Duke" John Wayne, in the 1972 Western, "The Cowboys". In this film he plays a rancher whose ranch hands run off to join the Gold Rush, leaving him with the massive task of driving his cattle 400 miles to avoid financial disaster. However it was never said, by him or anyone else so how that phrase came into being is a mystery to me.
..................
Took Mum Home today, roads fairly busy but not too bad. Got Mum home safely and settled back in. We then headed home but the long route via the A6.
We called into The Bay View Garden Centre in Bolton-le-Sands (just outside Morecambe) as it has been fully refurbished and now the novelty has died down a little we wanted to see for ourselves what it was like. Huge difference in the car park as it is now fully tarmaced and even (with extras spaces available for the future). It used to be so full of potholes that you had to go through very very carefully. The photo is of the view from The Restaurant - not a bad view huh!!!
The entrance is now much better too and it has a less cramped feel. The Garden Centre seems a little smaller somehow but I think that is because they have lost some of their greenhouses, which weren't used very often anyway. The cafe is lovely and the food really good, just quite large portions. If you have the quiche it is a whole small quiche not just a slice, but very nice.
We had a browse round the actual garden centre and bought some primula and heathers. The primula may well appear over the next couple of days as I don't intend to go anyway until next week. I'm going to chill. It has been lovely having Mum over but we've been out every day for about 9 days so it will be good to not go anywhere.
Thanks for dropping by again, take care and stay safe. Thank you so much for your comments and stars and I'll see you all tomorrow.
