Smoke…

…………....……..Haze


From the dreadful bush fires in Australia. What we see here is minimal compared to the smoke engulfing the people on the other side of the Tasman. They so desperately needed rain.


We woke this morning to a thick smoke haze and the smell of smoke in the house. As forecast, it was being blown from the South Island towards the North Island of NZ so it was only a passing phase, until later in the day when the sun and sky was discoloured once again.

This photo was taken this evening from the cycle/walkway at the Kumeras, Motueka, looking towards the Western Ranges.
