Duck

...just a plastic duck in the garden. It used to float on the fishpond but has filled with water and muck so sinks these days. The upturned bottle has a spout with tiny holes, it drips the water out slowly.

I planted this area in spring. It did very well until we had the roof replaced and all the plants cooked ( as I had black pebbles over the mulch to stop the birds). I replanted and now it’s very hot and dry and they need a small drink about twice a day. We can only water twice a week so I use grey water from the house. Elijah decided to weed the garden the other day and we caught him with half the green in his hand. Oh well the joys of gardening...
