A day off with Mum and Dad

I never get to properly see my Mum and Dad anymore. I mean, I see them every week but it's only during Audrey handovers for ten minutes. We normally cram a quick catch-up conversation in as I fly out the door on my way to a meeting or to catch a train.

Which is why today was so lovely. I didn't work, I took the day off with them and we walked to Didsbury for lunch at the Met. My sister is moving there soon so it was good to show them how close to Chorlton it is and what it looks like. They loved it and now they can really picture my sister living there.

Audrey seemed to enjoy her day too. A nice nap on the way there followed by lunch (she was so happy and content in the pub looking around taking it all in) and a snooze on the way back.
