‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’ It’s Not

I don’t think I have ever been over enamoured of New Years Eve. Large, noisy, crowds, overpriced drinks, pubs that are usually half empty charging admission, exorbitant taxi fares - need I go on?
When able I’ve always preferred to spend it with my family and so it was tonight.
After a relaxing day with the kids Clare arrived home around eight and after eating we settled down with a few drinks for a game of Royal Engineers Monopoly, very enjoyable it was too. Midnight saw us in the loft bedroom watching the firework display at Pendennis Castle.

It’s not so much as “out with the old and in with the new” but who you spend the time with.
