Surveying the new year

Another day of house work, trying to get everything put away and tidy for the start of the year. Think I am beginning to win but could do with another couple of days.

Late afternoon I decided to go for a short local walk in order to get a blip. The light was fading rapidly and I got a few blurry shots and one or two sunsets. On the way back I spotted this bird. It allowed me this one shot before flying off to another lamppost a bit further away but in the direction I was walking. However, every time I got near it moved to another one further away, I think it was teasing me! So this is the best of the lot. I had to use a high ISO so the quality isn't great but I'm pleased with it.
