Welcome to Prime Time!

It was weird to be manually focussing and twisting the aperture ring again on my Nikkor 50m F1.4 lens that I first used 32 years ago on my F3! I have used it only once before with my D3x, but it will now be my default lens for the next while as my zoom is being repaired or replaced (see yesterday).

I remember the shock of its clarity when I came back from Egypt after my first trip with it and saw my shots of The Citadel in Cairo developed. I got something of that again looking at today's shot. See what you think!
