Happy New Year!
It was a soaker of an afternoon...cold, rainy, not a day for a walk, sadly. So I stayed put after a quick run to the grocery store for crab cakes for tonight's quiet celebration of the end of the decade.
I bought some beautiful flowers to bring in the new year - white roses, lilies and snapdragons along with deep purple alstroemeria and scabiosa. Since we're studying light in "A Year with My Camera" I decided to spend some time with a tripod and playing with light and reflective light. Although I studied film photograph aeons ago in college, I haven't had much practice, so this was a good time to do so. Not perfect, but I'm pleased with the outcome. A good use of an afternoon, me thinks.
