Fireworks At The End Of Our Street

Despite the heavy, overcast skies, the City of Boston put on a festive New Year's fireworks display on the Common this evening.  It was pretty misty, and the cordite hung heavy in the air, but it was still fun, and what a relief to bid adieu to 2019 -- the absolute worst year of my life.

Sadly, Tom, Kristin, Elliott and Henry were due to arrive for the festivities and to spend New Year's Day with us as well, but poor Kristin suddenly came down with pneumonia yesterday afternoon, and is wisely recuperating at home in bed.  We will celebrate with them when everyone is back to full speed.
