William at Open Church

Another day with William.  This morning we went to the Open Church coffee morning. What a contrast with his behaviour at Mummy Meet! Whereas at Mummy Meet he is quiet, shy, and wary, at Open Church he greeted all the adults effusively and struck up a continuous stream of jabbering. He seems to be much happier with adults than other children.

At lunchtime we went to Dobbies' garden centre at Stapleton, where I had an unpleasant encounter with the Customer Service rep who simply would NOT believe that the cloth dinosaur I had bought before Christmas had not been damaged by Basil. I pointed out that it was a potential HS issue because the stuffing was leaking out of the toy. "Nobody else has complained.' I felt so maligned I just walked off in disgust.

The good news was that we were able to find a pair of boots for William in which he can walk through puddles.

When we got him home to Leicester, we discovered that George and Kat had removed every trace of Christmas. No tree,  no lights, no decs. There was more space to move, and the robotic vacuum cleaner, nicknamed the Millennium  Falcon because its hangar is under the armchair, can get around much more easily. Nice fresh start to 2020.
