Snot Yellow

It's mid January in Florida and the pollen is already out of control!!! This is a picture of our kitchen table that I fully dusted Sunday. We have lived here since late April of 2010 and I have yet to see pollen as early and thick as this year.

Who likes pollen and all of the extra work it creates on our cars, siding, decks, patios, window seal .. And kitchen tables. Not only does it coat everything with this snot yellow powdered mess, it also wrecks our sinuses.

However, today... You get a high five, pollen. You bring much MUCH more meaning this year! You mean that spring/summer is right around the corner, which opens up SO many " 1st " doors for Langan. As much as I try not to rush anytime spent with Langan, I also can't help but get excited about his 1st birthday, 1st house we are building as a family, 1st family vacation, 1st time he will walk on his own... The list goes on and on. So, bring on the pollen, the spring and summer. I'm ready for you!!!

Side note: I miss not having season living in FL. Specifically a day here or there of snow where everything shuts down for the day bc no one knows how to drive and everyone has snow parties. I guess we'll just have to wait for the hurricane party.
