Breakfast
at the Beacon - something promoted by Transition Malvern Hills as a monthly get-together. I went along in November and met a pleasant chap who runs the car share scheme, and restores gas lamps (the ones that attracted C S Lewis when he was writing about the Lion, the Witch and the Wardbrobe). Missed December, but went up this morning with my flask and muesli bar.
A lonely breakfast - a couple of runners, who didn't stop; a lady walking her dog in the distance, and some shivering black birds.
Transition to tranquil solitude - not such a bad thing.
