Discarded

On a grey day with light drizzle for the most part, I decided a good choice might be to focus on small scenes along the lake shore. I found a piece of rope in amongst the decaying vegetation, which is not unusual, and tried to make a composition with it.

I think the two light coloured reeds running vertically through the image stand in contrast to all the mess behind drawing it all together into one shape. The rock is a nice anchor in the corner and the rope being an unnatural colour provides an interesting note.
