Wheatley Elm Trees, Braidburn Valley Park.

A nice cool morning for the bike ride, but no ice. However, as my Borders bike route might have ice, I pot for a coastal  bike. Quite quiet on the cycle path out of Edinburgh. Then it is on to the coast road from Musselburgh. Being blown by the wind makes the ride out quite easy. The Extra shows the ruins of St. Andrews Kirk in Gullane.

I head back to Edinburgh via Luffness to Aberlady, then back along to coast road to Musselburgh. The head wind isn't too bad. From Musselburgh it is almost the same route home along the Innocent Railway path, then local roads.

The ride can be seen at Relive here.

In the afternoon, I walk down to Morningside. The Wheatley Elms are starting to lose their leaves, but they are still putting on a golden show, especially against the blue sky.
