STONECHAT

I drove down the lane with the very smelly factory where I usually see "my" kestrel, and indeed there it was letting me take more photos from under its pole (but I have no more extras to use this year). I saw plenty of other things too, including this stonechat. It actually stayed still beside the car for long enough to be blipped which is unusual, since they tend to dart off very quickly. I saw a weasel, plenty of other birds, and kite surfers, dog walkers and horse riders on the beach, but the sand was blowing so fiercely I feared for the camera and walked back.

Sad to hear of the death of Neil Innes. The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band and the Rutles are the stuff of very fond memories, as is all his work with the Pythons. A very talented man, and I wish I hadn't sold that signed album now.
