Buteo buteo

We spotted this buzzard hunting above some coastal grassland in the westerly wind. It hovered and swooped to dive on some poor mammal minding its own business below. 

In the morning, I ran from Elie to St Andrews in a deviously direct line across the East Neuk of Fife. Only two days left of the Marcothon.
