Go On and Go Free...
Do you remember Bernard? I loved Bernard. He was peacegiving and attentive. He sat on my desk and kept me calm in times of trouble.
When A friend found a little more trouble than I had, I passed Bernard and all his calmness on.
Whilst I was happy that Bernard had a new home, and a new purpose, I kinda missed him slightly, but he is needed where he is, and he is doing a greater job there and is probably more appreciated.
However, I have been looking for some time now for a new Bernard, and my modus operandi has been to look on auction sites for "Best Offers" and Make a best offer.
Bernards have become very expensive of late - at least between £15.00 and £20.00 each. So I saw one offered at 40.00 for TWO I thought I'll make an offer 30.00 and sell one for 15.00 and I'm quids in
So i won, and thought no more about it, til I turned up at the office today to collect my left over parcels. Hotel Chocolate, tick, Floppy Fish for the Cats, Tick. But what is this 2ft by 3ft box on my table???
Oh bloody hell, they weren't 10 cm tall. They were 12 INCHES tall. I now have Dave and Graham. the 2 ft square buddhas. I phoned Si kinda worried that he would go ballistic with me, but he said "bring them home".
Once we got them home and completely unpacked, I fell in love with them. Tomorrow - Wilkos for some linseed oil. Dave and Graham both need some loving, before they start handing the loving out.
And best of all - Si says "let's keep them both". He LOVES Dave and Graham too. I feel the love working already.
