So, I thought I'd blip a photo of Systembolaget in my neighbourhood. I don't visit this place so often because I seldom buy alcoholic beverages like wine, liquor and such. I do drink and I like it, but preferably not alone.

Today I went to buy a non-alcoholic sparkling wine that we had during Christmas to celebrate an event taking place in June. My cousins wife can't drink any alcohol now for a while, because they are expecting a baby girl. :) 
Anyway, I went in to buy this sparkling wine again since I want something festive and non alcoholic for tomorrow. 
Since this is the day before New years Eve... the place was filled with shopping people. after walking around without knowing were stuff was standing, I couldn't see a section marked 'non-alcoholic' so I googled the bottle I was after and asked a member of the staff. He just said 'Oh, that's sold out' and turned to the next costumer when he was asked if he was free. I was kind of brushed off so I wandered around a bit more to see if there was anything I could buy for tomorrow. Finally I saw the section for non-alcoholic beverages and I also found a smaller version of the large bottle I wanted. I grabbed two and then saw the empty spece were the large bottle would've stood. I took a chance and asked another staff member if there were any left and he kindly told me that they were sold out, but there was another shipment of bottles coming in this afternoon, so if I came around tomorrow there would be one - hopefully. He was so kind and service minded although he was busy packing up bottles on the shelves. I was also told that the Systembolaget opened at 10 in the morning. I thanked him and went off with one of the bottles, since I am not comfortable with walking out from a shop without buying anything... and, if the larger bottles wasn't in that shipment, I'd still have the little one. :) 

Systembolaget has monopoly in selling wine and other alcoholic beverages. There has been attempt from private sellers to get permit to sell alcohol, but non that I know of has succeeded. During the holidays the sales increases a lot.
