Oblique

I'm spent today dodging rain drops, getting my blip included.

The forecast was pants but when I came to leave for work it was only lightly raining so I took the risk. After my arrival at work it rained with purpose. So far, so good I thought.

I had to go out to do a job across campus late morning. It was wetter than I'd have liked but afterwards I got the opportunity to poke around an area I'm less familiar with and I found this.

After wiping the lens gently with my merino shirt (tsk, tsk) and contorting my body in ways I probably shouldn't, I got this shot.

All industrial glory large

Coming home I pumped my sturdy legs in the hope I'd beat the black clouds racing towards me. In the end I skirted the edge of the squall. Later the rain and I finally met when it came time to do the dreaded grocery shopping. You can get quite wet getting in and out of the car. I guess the weather had the last say.

Other than a temperature barely 1/3 of a week ago, today was notable for the 11, 000th aftershock since 4 September 2011. Not that I felt it - or even count them anymore.

Time for hpx to think about cleaning up the kitchen and preparing for the last day of my working week tomorrow. And then it's the weekend and I have plans to climb a mountain :-)
