A quick check

Tsuken and his family arrived yesterday afternoon from Sydney. We had a lovely welcoming meal on the deck, as the sun was setting.

This afternoon, I decided to chance the weather (which had been cloudy with occasional brief spells of rain), and with Tusken and his children went to Owairaka again. There were so many tui calling, hooning through and around the trees, chasing away rosellas and any other birds which didn't leave without encouragement.

This one had been chasing or chased by (not sure now which it was!) another tui. Not sure what the check was for, and it can't have been for anything serious as it shortly departed at high speed.
